The Guaranteed Citizenship Income (RGC) was created to ensure that all citizens of Catalonia can cover essential living expenses for themselves or for the members of their family or household unit.

To guarantee this right for beneficiaries of pensions, state benefits and aid, a new complementary payment has been established to align their incomes with those of the RGC, with the aim of ensuring minimum income levels.

This new complementary benefit allows all citizens of Catalonia to afford the essential expenses for living.
